Joene Grissom

As an entrepreneur and business owner with more than twenty years of experience, Joene Grissom is currently an executive for the Austin-based public relations and marketing firm of Grissom & Associates, Inc. Ms. Grissom’s professional career also includes several years as a public school teacher at the elementary level and eight years as an educational consultant for the Texas Education Agency. She has been Chairwoman for Leadership Austin, was instrumental in the founding the Child Care Connection of Austin, Inc., and is also currently involved on the boards of WorkSource, Badgerdog Literacy Publishing, Inc., Community Action Network (CAN) Resource Council, Austin Child Care Council, and Family Connections. Ms. Grissom holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Central State University in Edmond, Oklahoma and a master’s degree from Texas Woman’s University in Denton.
