Roberto Amaya

A Central Texas entrepreneur, Roberto has owned and operated one of Austin’s best-loved restaurants, Amaya’s Taco Village, since 1976. Roberto has also served as a founding member of the Mexican American Chamber of Commerce (now Hispanic Chamber of Commerce) along with former Mayor Gus Garcia, created the Austin Minority Economic Development Corporation, and spent many years as a Business Development Specialist working with organizations such as the Mexican American Council for Economic Progress (MACEP) in Uvalde in Austin.
